Events & Group Bookings
Marston Grange is a privately owned working arable farm with no public rights of way without prior permission being obtained from the landowners, R Smakman Ltd. Please see our Contact details at the foot of this page.
Marston Grange offers opportunities to inspire and inform in many different aspects but the main focus of our talks, walks and events are:
- Farming and the environment
- Gardening and wildlife
- History and the Battle of Marston Moor
- Country crafts, art and literature
You can find out more about our Events by viewing our Events Diary which will also allow you to book. You can either book on-line and pay with PAYPAL or you can book on-line and pay by cash or cheque later. When you go through the booking system it will allow you to make this choice. If you have any difficulty using the booking system please email us at email@example.com and we will make the booking for you.
The Marston Grange Education Barn will be open every Bank Holiday Sunday April – July and 10th September for refreshments to allow access to the battlefield. A guided walk is also being offered at 2pm on these dates which can be booked on-line via our Events Diary. There is no limit on numbers for the barn, and parking and access to the garden is FREE. However, numbers for the walk are limited to 30, and there is a small charge of £3.00 per person.
Guided Battlefield Walks can be arranged for groups of 10 or more. Please see our Tour Enquiry Form to make a group booking. Tours can be booked at any time of year subject to the availability of a guide and there being no farming activity to create a hazard. These walks are on private land on the farm otherwise inaccessible to the public.
The Gardens are open by appointment April – July and September - October for groups of 10 or more. Please use our Tour Enquiry Form to make a group booking. Please note that the meadow is only in flower May – August.
Farming and wildlife walks can also be arranged in the same way. Please contact us to make an enquiry.
